Corporate
data is held in many different systems, which have little
in common and are, in many cases, incompatible. The effect
is similar to having all of the pieces of a jigsaw and no
method of assembling them into an overall picture. While each
piece contains valuable data, it is usually only by examining
it individually and manually fitting it together that data
relationships are apparent. The act of associating data from
piece to piece is time consuming, difficult and annoying.
